RGB had an enrollment of about 500 students when it opened in 1992. Today there are approximately 600 students attending from the various villages and small towns in the region. The school's curriculum is based on the standards of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Laender in the Federal Republic of Germany.
